Help with Lampo Cloud and its connector for Claude and ChatGPT. A person answers.
Reaching a person
Write to hello@lampo.video. A person reads every message and answers within one working day. Say which workspace it is about and what you were doing when it happened. Never send a password or an API token: nobody at Lampo asks for one.
Connecting Claude or ChatGPT
Add Lampo to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector. Its address is https://app.lampo.video/mcp; the steps for each app are in the MCP docs. The first time, Lampo’s sign-in opens in your browser. Sign in, and Lampo asks Let it in? before the app gets anything. That screen says:
- which app is asking, and where its name comes from. An app that only named itself is marked not verified: continue only if you just started the connection from it;
- what it may do. Each permission is listed with what it allows:
- Read reviews: see videos, notes and marked frames; wait for new feedback
- Write notes: ask questions and leave notes on frames, reply to notes
- Act on feedback: mark notes fixed or won’t fix, add and file renders, report what the agent is doing
- Draft posts: write post drafts of final videos for YouTube, Instagram and Facebook (a person publishes them)
- Read project files: list and download the project files (footage, audio, fonts, project files)
- Add project files: add, replace, rename, move and trash project files; every change is a version anyone can bring back
- the one workspace it works in: the one you have open in Lampo. To connect another workspace, switch to it in Lampo first, then connect again;
- where the answer goes.
The app never sees your password. Once it is connected, tell it Use Lampo for "Spring launch" with your project’s name: it finds the project, puts up a first version, works your notes and waits for the next ones until you approve.
Disconnecting
Remove Lampo in the chat app’s own connector settings, or end its access from Lampo: Settings → API tokens → Connected apps, then Disconnect. Disconnecting in Lampo ends the access whatever the chat app still shows.
Uploads from a chat app
Claude runs an agent’s code in a sandbox that reaches only the domains it allows, and Lampo Cloud takes uploads at media.lampo.video. If an upload from Claude fails, add media.lampo.video to Claude’s allowed domains under Settings → Capabilities; on Team and Enterprise plans, the organization’s owner adds it. In Lampo, Settings → Connect an agent → Claude shows the domain to copy. Or upload the file yourself: the agent’s answer ends with a link to the page in Lampo where it goes.
At a plan’s limit
When a workspace reaches what its plan allows, the agent hears what can’t be done and that a person decides, in a plain sentence such as This workspace has no room for this upload: a person can make room or change the plan in Lampo.
The sentence never names a plan or a price; the agent passes it on to you. What happens next is a person’s call, in Lampo: make room, or change the plan under Settings → Billing (owners and admins). An agent can’t change a plan or pay for anything. The plans.
Security reports
Report a security problem privately, never in a public issue: on GitHub, the repository’s Report a vulnerability, or write to security@lampo.video. What happens then is in the security policy.
