Every version, checked before you watch.

Lampo reads each new version first: the words on screen, the picture, the sound. What it finds waits on the timeline with its frame and why, so your review goes to what only a person can judge.

00:00:00The words on screen

A typo in the title, found on its frame.

Lampo reads the text in the picture twice a second and just after every cut, where titles land, and spell-checks it. A word no dictionary knows is read again at twice the size before it’s flagged, so a misreading never reaches you.

  • English and German: the language is read from the text itself, and checked in it.
  • Where it is: the line it’s in, its box on the frame, and every timecode it was seen at.
  • Only what’s meant to be read: small text and words cut by the frame’s edge are left out.
  • Its guess: the word it thinks you meant, to say yes or no to.
00:00:00Vertical video

Nothing under Instagram’s buttons.

On a vertical video, text under the top bar, the buttons on the right or the caption is flagged, and so is text the profile grid’s cropped preview cuts off. The zones are Instagram’s current layout on today’s phones, the same ones the player draws over the picture.

00:00:00The picture

A freeze or a beat? It says which it thinks.

Flash frames, black frames between shots, dips to black, a picture that stops. Each comes with its guess: a picture that stops while the sound goes on looks like missing frames, picture and sound pausing together looks like a beat.

  • Flash frames: another picture for up to 0.07 s while the shot around it stays the same.
  • Black frames: up to 0.27 s between shots is a gap, longer a dip; fades at the very start and end are left out.
  • Freezes: from 6 frames without movement inside the video (at 24 fps), grain and noise aside.
  • Many holds: more than 6 are listed together, as motion graphics and screen recordings pause on purpose.
00:00:00The sound

As loud as the platforms expect.

Platforms play videos at about −14 LUFS, so Lampo measures the whole video and notes anything outside −16 to −12. Peaks that would distort, clipping and silence inside the video are flagged too.

  • Loudness: the whole video’s, as EBU R128 measures it.
  • True peak above −1 dBTP, which can distort once a platform encodes the sound.
  • Clipping: two or more samples at full scale in one frame.
  • Silence: quieter than −50 dB for 0.4 s or longer inside the video.

Ask the agent, or say it’s intended.

Ask the agent turns a finding into your note, on its frame with its box, and your agent hears it at once. That’s intended puts it away on this video and its later versions, and the agent isn’t told. Your agent runs the same check with lampo qa before it hands a version back.
