00:00:00Product · Review links

A link for your client. No account needed.

Send one video or a whole folder. Your client watches frame by frame, notes on the frame, checks your fixes and approves on any screen, and never sees your team’s notes or your agents’ questions.

00:00:00Making a link

Say who it’s for. Pick what it allows.

Share a video from the player, or a project or folder from its menu. Name the link for the person, pick Review, Watch only, Delivery or, for one video, Embed, and one sentence says exactly what the link allows. It’s copied the moment you create it, ready to paste.

  • Visitors can: leave notes and approve, leave notes, or only watch.
  • They see: the notes from this link, or the notes from all links to the video.
  • Versions: the newest only, or all of them with a switcher.
  • Downloads: off, the preview, or the original file; Delivery is watching and the original.
00:00:00A project or a folder

A folder opens a review room.

A link to a project or a folder shows every video in it and in its folders, looked up on every visit: a video you add later is there by itself. Your client sees how far the review has come, and takes the lot home in one .zip when the link allows.

  • For that folder, not its name: renaming or moving it takes its links along.
  • Nothing above it: a link never names a folder above what it shares.
  • Download all: the newest version of each, the folders kept, picking up where it stopped.
  • Where it stands: “1 of 3 reviewed”, the fixes to check, and each video with their decision.
00:00:00What your client sees

Their notes and your answers. Nothing else.

Visitors see client notes and the replies to them, word for word: your team’s by name, an agent’s fix as “editor”. Your team’s own notes and your agents’ questions stay inside, and whoever answers a client’s note is told it will be read.

  • Notes from this link: only what came in through it, so each client decides for themselves.
  • Notes from all links: every visitor’s notes on the video, for one team on the other side.
  • No file paths: a link names videos by ids of its own, different on every link.
  • Never “the client”: the app says the link’s name, the person’s name or “via review link”.
00:00:00On any screen

They check your fix and approve, on their phone.

On a phone the review is laid out like an app: one bar with Approve, the picture across the width, the notes under it. A fixed note asks if it looks right now; an approval tells you at once and moves the video to Approved via link.

  • Not yet, with what is still wrong, reopens the note for your team and your agent.
  • Their own decision: kept apart from your team’s, which visitors never see.
  • A newer version first: if one arrives while they watch, they are asked to look at it.
  • Their name once: asked when it’s first needed, remembered in that browser.
00:00:00Embed

Your film on your own site.

An Embed link puts one video on a page of yours in Lampo’s frame-exact player, the way a site embeds a YouTube video. Paste the code it copies, and the page plays the newest version, with its chapters on the timeline and captions once it has been heard. This one is real: press play.

Meet Lampo 1:30 · a real Embed link, in Lampo’s own player

  • Only the video: no notes, no names, no other versions, no downloads, and no cookie.
  • A hero film: autoplay, a loop or the picture alone, set in the player’s address.
  • Anywhere: paste the code, or the address where a site embeds from one (oEmbed).
  • Yours to end: revoke the link and every page it is on stops; plays are counted, never by name.
00:00:00Who opened it

See who watched, and how far.

Each link says what came of it: who came, how often, how much of the newest version they watched and what they did, newest first. Visitors are told apart by a random id their browser keeps, never by their address.

  • Recorded: that someone opened the link or a video, the name they typed, which hundredths played and for how long.
  • Not recorded: IP addresses, tracking cookies, fingerprints, the browser, the device, the location.
  • Everyone alike: the page records the same for every visitor, whatever their browser asks.
  • Your team never counts: someone signed in checking a link is not a visitor.
00:00:00Password, expiry, revoke

A link is yours to end.

Add a password, and nothing of the video shows before it. Give the link a last day, and it stops at the end of it. Revoke it, and it stops at once, also where it is open. The notes that came in through it stay.

  • Password: at least 4 characters, typed once per browser and remembered for 30 days.
  • Expiry: 1, 7 or 30 days, or any day from the calendar, in your time zone.
  • Guessing is limited per visitor, per address and per link, so nobody locks your client out.
  • Every link out there is in Settings → Review links, with Copy link and Revoke.
